Because of the windings of both Peachtree Street and the I-75/85 connector there are two bridges where Peachtree Street crosses the interstate. These two bridges, one north and one south of mid-town, bracket the heart of the Atlanta. To highlight these “Gateways to the City” the Midtown Alliance, Central Atlanta Progress and the Georgia DOT are directing a major Peachtree Corridor Enhancement project. Henry Incorporated was selected for the signs and metals portion of this work. The project included lighted letters, mesh screen-walls and, on the north bridge, huge nested arches flanking pedestrian walkways along each side of the bridge.
The Peachtree Street Bridge Enhancement is a beautiful modern addition to the Atlanta cityscape and will stand as a local landmark for decades to come.
